Firefighter Kid’s Shows and Movies

Planes and Rescue

Where can you find it: DVD

Rating: 😊😊😊😊

Fire Scare Factor: 😬😬😬 (character almost dies in a fire)

What’s in the movie: A local plane signs up to be a fire plane so that his airport can remain functional- and along the way- his training is full of fun and adventure. At the end there is a very large fire, wildland crews deploy, and the suspense is comparable to other Disney Movies like Frozen and Inside Out. If you are a Cars Fan, this movie is a must!

Daniel Tiger “Use your Words”

Where can you find it: Visit the Farm DVD- Episode “Use your words”

Rating: 😊😊😊

Fire Scare Factor: 😬

What’s in the show: At the end of the episode, one of Daniel’s Friends visits the Fire House! It’s an accurate and educational visit perfect for young children to get familiar with firefighting.

Elmo Visits the FireHouse

Where can you find it: episode on VUDU

Rating: 😊😊😊😊😊

Fire Scare Factor: (only beginning could be frightening for young viewers)

What’s in the movie: In the beginning, the local store catches fire. Elmo is scared, and the Firefighters respond. They offer to let Elmo give them a visit, and the entire episode is filled with appropriate and realistic visit to the Fire Station.

Curious George

Where can you find it: “Takes a Job dvd”, PBS kids app

Rating: 😊😊😊😊

Fire Scare Factor: 😬

What’s in the show: There are several mentions of the local Firefighters in the land of Curious George, and each one is as entertaining as the next.

Puppy Dog Pals

Where can you find it: volume 1 DVD, Disney+, Disney Junior

Rating: 😊😊😊

Fire Scare Factor: 😬

What’s in the show: Only one of the shows has featured a “fire dog” and in the episode, Bingo and Rolley, tag along on a fire truck singing a catchy tune about hearing the sirens howl. Find it on the Volume 1 DVD.

Firehouse Dog

Where can you find it:

Rating: 😊😊😊

Fire Scare Factor: 😬😬😬

What’s in the movie: This is a pretty cute movie, but also deals with some touchy factors like Firefighters dying in a blaze. Mostly, the cute Firehouse Dog helps a father and son grow to like each other.

Paw Patrol

Where can you find it: Nickelodeon, Nick Jr app (free), Netflix

Rating: 😊😊😊😊

Fire Scare Factor: 😬

What’s in the show: This show features and adorable gang of Community Helpers who solve problems in adventure bay. The favorite, Fire Dog Marshall, is here to help out with funny jokes and a water cannon.

Fireman Sam

Where can you find it: Amazon Prime, Netflix, DVD

Fire Scare Factor: 😬

What’s in the show: Based on European Firefighting, Fireman Sam is the ultimate in city protection as he carries out the duties of local Fireman to keep the town safe.
