Hold up, What’s a Podcast ๐๏ธ
Ok, just to clarify, a podcast is pretty much like modern day radio. Easy Peasy. It’s an audio version of a new’s story, a show, or an entertainment segment.
Some people record their podcast and show it on youtube, but many people have the audio version only on their streaming channel for listeners to tune in. For me, I personally love listen to Mike Rowe’s podcast, and it’s something I tune into regularly.
If you have apple podcast app, some creators have been making video podcasts- but these are still something you can just listen to as you drive or go for a walk.

Where can you find and listen to podcasts?
This is where things get a little tricky, but no big deal, because we’ll help you find your favorite podcast and be able to listen without any trouble.
Podcasts are displayed across channels, much like you’d find news sources, or different search engines like google, yahoo and bing.
For many podcasts, you can find them on all of the channels, but some of the smaller ones, or one’s that are exclusive to a certain channel, can only be found in one or two places.
The most popular podcast options are itunes and spotify. You can access these on your desktop computer, but for phones and tablets, you’ll need to grab the app.
Other podcast options include google play and overcast. You can find more information in this podcast beginner’s guide.
Favorite things to do when listening to a Podcast
The super cool thing about podcasts are that they are very portable!
You can listen while you do chores, go for a walk, or before you go to bed (especially so you aren’t looking at a screen in the most important hours before you get your sleep!)
Our family loves to listen to podcasts on roadtrips and family park days. it’s easy to digest 30 minutes in the sun while the kids run and play!
I also know a lot of people that do podcasts in the morning when they stretch and shower in lieu of mainstream news and the comedy ones are great for when you need a pick me up after a rough shift.
